School Governors play a really important role and we are very lucky to have such a committed group of governors who lead and support the work of Knights Enham Nursery and Infant School. The work of the Governing Body is very varied and includes approving the whole school budget, approving school policies, setting the strategic direction of the school and helping to make sure we put our vision into action. Governors meet at least two or three times a term (this is the Full Board meeting). Governors have recently moved from a structure of committees to more Full Board meetings.
Minutes of the governor meetings are held in school. Minutes are not published until they are approved at the next meeting - so September minutes are published after the November meeting!
Governing bodies are made up of different types of governors including parent governors, local authority, staff and co-opted.
